A few months ago we informed you that thepage of the live broadcastings of tv3.cat had undergone significant improvements. Well, now we go one step further and have put online a much more suitable place to offer a good service. In first place, the player adjusts to the company's standards and goes on to be panoramic (16:9).As you already know, Televisió de Catalunya broadcasts in this format since the 1st of February.

In second place, we have activated the option "zapping", which enables to easily see what is being broadcasted on the other channels without having to leave the page and without the need of having to reload the player again. Also, and this is the third new feature, we have a new "now and next" system that announces the following programme with rights to broadcast on Internet.

The fourth, not less important than the previous ones, is that the player technology is no longer Windows Media, but Flash Video. As you already know, it is the current standard on Internet, both in streaming and in à la carte video (YouTube, for instance).

The portal's live broadcastings section maintains the possibility of inserting comments, as well as a cloud of "tags" (labels) which enable to find out at just a glimpse which are the main themes of the videos on 3alacarta.

Also included is a fast access to the calendar of broadcasted programmes and video searcher, and a module that includes the most seen videos in the last 24 hours, seven days or 30 days.

If a year ago we announced the new section which gathered the presence of TV3 on Internet, now its Catalunya Ràdio's turn. We have started the section of Catalunya Ràdio on the network. The approach is very similar: to concentrate in one single place the information regarding what the radio station does on Facebook, Twitter, Netvibes and YouTube, among others.

It's therefore easier to find, for example, the official page of a certain programme on Facebook, and distinguish it easier from the rest. Or to consult with just one click the blogs of the areas such as "L'ofici de viure", "Generació digital" or "La nit dels ignorants". We will see what "widgets" we can install on our blog or on our computer, or subscribe to the dozens of podcasts available on the programme schedule of Catalunya Ràdio.

A few weeks ago we said goodbye to the longest series in the history of TV3, "El cor de la ciutat". Without much time to digest this great loss, the New Year has brought to the screens "La Riera", the new proposal for the weekday afternoons.

This soap, set in the Maresme area and very linked to the Catalan gastronomy, is also present (and very much so!) on Internet. Let's start by the series' web site, where every day you will find the last episode straight after it has been broadcasted on the TV, with a file including all the episodes already shown. The characters, around thirty people right from the beginning, also havetheir reserved area.

If you want to get a quick update and see how the plots have progressed during the past week, we encourage you to visit theBest Moments of "La Riera". In this area of participation you can see the highlighted scenes and comment them. Furthermore, among all the comments we will periodically draw visits to the filming.

Did you miss "Crackòvia"? Do you want to know today's news? You still haven’t seen "Arròs Covat"? Do you want to get a look at the state of the ski slopes? Do you want to play "Bocamoll" for a while? These are some of the many actions you can do by browsing the different portals of TV3 andCatalunya Ràdio and the web sites of their programmes. And now they are all available in one place, at only one click. All thanks to our new "widget": "Et recomanem" (we recommend).

This application has a very simple design and is easy to use. A brief description of what you can do, a related image and the logo of the programme to which the action belongs to, are the clues that will enable you to discover all what you is available and can still do on the portals of TVC and Catalunya Ràdio. You only have to click on each action and you will access it directly.

For example, maybe you didn't know that you can subscribe to the videos of "La riera", and receive a message via RSS each time they upload a new episode. Or know before anyone else which is the latest recipe uploaded by the users of the gastronomic portalClubdeCuines. Or share your "manga" drawings on the portal 3xl.cat. Or instantly revive the last goal called by Puyal.

The widget "Et recomanem" shows the actions randomly. It includes proposals from the different home portals, such as TV3, 3XL, Súper 3, Ritmes, ElsEsports, Catalunya Ràdio, 3cat24 and Club de Cuines, as well as the mobile services. You are sure to find something that will interest you. And it is available in two sizes: 150 and 350 pixels wide, as you can see. So it looks good everywhere!

If you want to have it, you must go and see the code of this page and copy the code in between the instructions "object classid" and "/object". Then attach it onto your blog and you will have direct access to the 1,000 actions available at the portals of the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals.

If you want to get an idea of what the weather is like in the different points of Catalunya, better see it for yourself. And now you can do so easily and fast through the webcams of TV3, which are distributed throughout the Principality. You can access them througha site which gathers them all or through a module that you will find at the home page of the portals oftv3.catand3cat24.cat.

Some more will be activated in the following weeks. Each camera shows a range of images from the last 24 hours, with information of the temperature and the humidity levels at each point. The images of these cameras are updated every 5 minutes and it is possible to see the progress on a sequence that shows the last 24 hours.

We have started the new year 2010 with a novelty from one of the most emblematic programmes of TV3. "Els matins" has completely renewed its presence on Internet and has a new web site which supposes a powerful and new channel of communication with the audience. From there the users can follow live the programme conducted by Josep Cuní and Helena García Melero, and easily find any video of the programme: the interview, the subject of the day, the comment by Pilar Rahola...

The programme moreover has made a decisive committed to the social networks as a platform to promote even more the audience's participation and interactivity, searching for the communication with the audience beyond the five hours that the programme lasts.

That is why, "Els matins" has already a group on Facebook and is just about to start a profile on Twitter. What it has already started is a blog of latest news, where both the team and the spectators can state their opinion whenever they like.

The web site has also a new design, which includes links to the programme's ringtones and polytones and to the podcast service. There is also an entire section dedicated to facilitate the participation of the spectators, either by means of e-mail or with their mobile phone.

Obama, Michael Jackson, Guardiola, Pepe Rubianes... This year will be remembered for a series of characters that have marked the main events of the year. 3cat24.cat has prepared "Memòria 2009", a summary of the past 12 months which includes a photographic walk through the most interesting and outstanding events. Every month, presented with the images or with the faces that were in the news.

"Memòria 2009" also includes the list of the most successful news among our cybernouts: The demise of Pepe Rubianes; the recommendations from the traffic department to avoid the traffic jams caused by the leg of the (cycling) Tour in Barcelona; The summer fire at Horta de Sant Joan; the confrontations between the anti-Bologna students and the Mossos, and the evacuation of the University of Barcelona; andthe strange Air France plane crash, which fell into the Atlantic ocean close to Brazil.

You will also be bale to revive the Summary of the Year, prepared by Catalunya Ràdio, and the Summary of the Decade, prepared by TV3. One of the nights marked in red on the calendar is the night of the 31st of December to the 1st of January. If you are one of those who celebrates New Year's Eve at home, with guests round for dinner, grapes and a drop of cava in the intimacy of your home, you can't miss our new channel of proposals for that evening. The gastronomic portalClubdeCuines has just started a section of special recipes for one of the most special evenings of the year. It is called "Idees per a Cap d'Any" (ideas for New Year's Eve).

As always, this channel gets its recipes from the recipes uploaded by the cooking programmes of TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio, and also from those uploaded by the users. Among them you will findstarters, first courses, second courses, desserts and even cocktails so that you have a magical night also on the table. And remember that you can also comment them and grade them. Bon appétit!

As you already know, La Marató of TV3 was not only taking place on TV and at the popular initiatives throughout Catalunya. It also had outstanding events in the virtual world, with the web site as the centre of the different actions . From there it was possible to access to the presence of La Marató on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. And the numbers prove that they played an important role in the promotion of the event.

Let's take a look. At the beginning of October, the official web site on Facebook had 3,500 fans. The day of La Marató, the past 13th of December, it had over 22,000 at the end of the programme. And now, two weeks later, the group has more than 35,000 fans and continues to grow at a rate of 500 new members a day. Throughout 15 hours the group added 8,000 new admirers and reached more than 21,000 members.

And during the broadcasting of the programme a total of 5,275 interactions were registered: greetings, people who shared the experiences of living with rare diseases, information regarding the popular activities of awareness and collection of funds... Twitter, on its behalf achieved 176 followers.

The commitment to Facebook had such a good acceptance that in only two months the web page of La Marató is the third programme of TV3 with more followers on Facebook, after "APM" and "Crackòvia".

Sorry about the repetitions but we would like to inform you that we have prepared a set of applications for you to celebrate Christmas on the network properly. First, a Christmas card where you can upload your photographs and send them to your friends together with your greetings message.

And if you want your Christmas photos to also be shown on television, we have put at your disposal a form so that your Christmas photo appears on the "bursts" broadcasted on TV3. For sure you have already seen some on the screen, in-between programmes. Well they where all received through this way. Well not all of them. We have also received some through Mobile phone.
